Asetek SimSports Invicta 27Nm Sim Racing Wheelbase | Review
Welcome to my review of the Asetek Sim Sports Invicta Wheelbase. The Invicta is Asetek's flagship model, boasting a staggering 27Nm of torque. At $1299.99 (USD), it is a high-end option in the sim racing market. I compared it directly to Simucube’s Ultimate and Pro models to provide an analysis of its performance, features, and overall value.

Very detailed, and very helpful! Thanks!
All of these brands are way overpriced, you can buy a 27” monitor for €150 but a 10” display cost €599 wtf total greed. Bracket for €100 😂😂😂 it’s soo sad
idea of simracing is nice but modern sims on pc is so bad, there is not any actual videogame, only cheap tech demos of not bad physics without content and interesting progression _(only simcads have that at this days, but it not much interesting to play because bad not realistic physics)_ shame to modern sim industry this is so much expensive to get all hardware for it, but when you got it you understand what there almost nothing to play (if you not interested in online cshieats)
Since you commented on the easy of use of removing and adding back the DDU, how do you manage that in iRacing? When I try to change from a setup with DDU to a setup without a DDU, the Image on the triple screen becomes off, because of the added or removed monitor (DDU). Any tips to achieve a setup where I don't have this problem with the triple screen configuration? Thanks
Are you using nvidia surround?
@@simracingden No, I can't remember exactly why I gave up of trying surround. I'm using 3 LG TVs and only have 2 HDMI ports on my GPU, so I have to use an adapter for one TV, and don't have G-Sync with that TV. Or maybe it had to do with HDR or I would lose G-Sync on all 3 TVS if I used surround.
@@eduardoapolonia yea hdmi can be tricky with multiple displays and using adapters. I'm using display port for my monitors and hdmi for the Porsche DDU so I don't have these types of issues.
@@simracingden I have to try Surround again, but I haven’t got much hope with it on my setup 🙄🙄 With surround what happens when you disconnect the DDU or connect it back on? Does it misconfigure Windows screens layouts or Windows wallpaper? Can you change the setup (DDU connected/disconnected) while iRacing is running or you have to close iRacing before you change that setup and then open it back again? Thanks again
Gotta stop using ChatGPT for your scripting
Great review! Where can i buy this wheel? Cant seem to find a link that works.
Thanks! I see the link isn't working either. I'll check with Immersim; I know they are working on an updated version of this wheel, and they considered a lot of my feedback for this upcoming improved model.
@@simracingden Okay, thank you for the info😊
Did you find a solution or did you get used to the heel slip. Just bought them Han have the same problem
Changing around my seating position has helped; there is a part you can buy from SimSportGadget that at least fills the gap so your heel won't get stuck if it does slip. I no longer use them as my primary pedals, but I have another set of the Invicta S pedals on my test rig for an updated review soon. collabs.shop/w19zt9
No, but thats how it is in real life. And besides thrustmaster's majority of users are using mid -range belt driven wheels, so any use of metals would be overkill, and would make the ffb on these mid range wheels less noticeable. But just wait till tm makes a console dd.
they havent even released the mount yet so when is the release going to be
I feel like a triple scree setup is done wrong, the middle and right screen should be almost aligned. Still working on it though. The right side is turn too close and does not mimic what you see. You will notice this based on FOV. If you can't see your right door mirro then you should not have your monitor at a angle. Has anyone noticed this?
$20K for THAT? The seat doesn't even move around
Love my Asetek Invicta wheelbase ❤
Should I go with the sf1000 or this wheel for f1?
This one is better I think.
She turned it like it’s a round steering wheel 😂😂
I know right lol
Great video. Will be using your via as a guide for my canopy. What were the mounts for the Phillips hue? I can’t find them in the description.
Nice! I had to remove the link as the product was no longer available ill see if there is something similar I can recommend.
Can you share your Iracing setup. I have the pro. Just got it and have no clue how to configure unit once installed
I Use the default LFE settings in iracing except impacts is turned off and then adjust gain as you see fit. Set amp settings as per manual. 30 gain on amp I believe
When going with curved monitors one crucial thing is the curvature of the monitor 800R to 1800R, depending on the sitting position measure the distance from ur eyes to the screen in front round it off in thousands and u have ur curvature. My Feature set for the perfect monitor would be LG 45" OLED curved monitor only con is it's 800R which is a bit to close considering my hand length and steering base depth. 1000R should be the sweet spot. Nice video covering most of the details.
Good point. I have three 1000r monitors but curvature of them combined I believe is around 850 at least setting that in game looks perfect. Very immersive feel like I'm in the cockpit. Distance to eyes about 25”
Good review, cheers. Might grab one.
Grabbing the steering wheel like 😮....😅👍
Hey i know the video is old , but i would like to know if this steering wheel works on forza Horizon 4 please .
Yes on PC it does.
worth it for 89€?
Yes
You get what you pay for especially the pedals, but great way to start sim racing too see if its something you like first. I'd still go logitech though vs this.
@@simracingden well the price difference is pretty crazy, 100 dollars or 300 dollars. i bought the t128 today and already cruised around in asetto corsa
How does it compare to a dd wheel like Fanatec as I want to buy my second wheel I’ve just got into sim racing with a thurstnaster t248
If its your 2nd wheel I would go for a DD
@@simracingden thanks for your reply buddy I only have ps5 so I wil prob get the fanatic gt bundle
I agree it’s more of a tool for real life drivers. The cost for a hobbyist is too high.
She's probably wondering where the rest of the wheel is.
A lot of these DDUs are complete ripoffs, at least the one's that work via SimHub or equivalent software. Just buy a 5 inch portable monitor they're like 50 bucks and have tripod mounts on the bottom so making a diy mount is undoubtedly easy. Every single one I've seen that's "budget" oriented is $150+ and is just a secondary monitor. The screen I use is from a brand called Eyoyo. $35 shipped to my door in open box condition. New condition $60-$70. Also have 7 inch versions available. With some of these portable displays you will need to run an hdmi as well as the usb but that is a more than viable compromise for 80%-95% of my dollars saved for the same EXACT result
Interesting, thanks so much for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching!
Subbed
Thank you! much appreciated
Yes yes it is. Made my other 4 thrustmaster rims useless. Well not totally the sparco r383 one is still one I will use for rally
Love to see this! Just make sure she realises how important it is to keep both hands on the wheel. And then to get her hands out the way during collisions and crashes! FFB might be lowered, but can see there is still a decent amount going into the wheel when she corners. ; )
Everyone is saying it has overheating issues I argue that if they keep it around 70-80 perfect force feedback it doesn’t get hot can anyone let me know if this is true? I do a lot of oval racing and want to get the r12 I also do some road and dirt oval but mainly asphalt ovals and I’m not sure if it would be beneficial for more force feedback on ovals
I don’t think it’s the r12 that has the overheating issues, and even if it did I bet those issues would go away just from the solution you just mentioned. Which was turning down the force feedback. To my knowledge, the wheelbase that has the overheating issues was the moza r9 and not the moza r12.
What about this rig makes it 20k? lol I see maybe 6-8k worth of gear so why push it and add an extra 12k 😭
what are you using for speaker mounts
collabs.shop/c7pinm
What model is that? For the turn key sim, assuming its the turn key one
Its not a turn key sim the chassis though is from Advanced Sim Racing www.advancedsimracing.com/thesimracingden
@@simracingden awesome. Ive heard nothing but great things about the company too
They should have colabed with PlayStation and Xbox and that would be the kicker for monopoly in the market
I'm from Logitech G923, my plan want upgrade to Thurstmaster T-GT II or Fanatec DD Pro? My style do not for drifting but for free roam driving.
27 nm😂 why? Anyone running 27nm of torque?
Should you put one or two tc input on the button box.
Up to you I usually have TC on my wheel.
How many TC input set to your wheel. Do most car just have one setting for TC or two.
many cars have two I have two on my wheel
what game?
iRacing
The wheel turn 😭😭
I've got the exact same wheel setup .. sweet wheel 😊😊
Nice 👍
Excellent Bro!
Has anyone mounted a Simagic haptic reactor/transducer to a Simucube Active Throttle?
Not sure but perhaps I should try I have them
@@simracingden Would love to know if they do fit on well!
Great review as well the esthetics and visual presentation!
Much appreciated!
i just dont understand why somone would spend time and money to make a new shitty qr, when there is the NRG qr where everyone loves.
I upgraded my logitech g923 to Asetek LaPrima and I'm really happy with it. Great experience overall with Asetek
Very nice!
Simagic is better in my view. I would not buy asetek or simucube. Simagic product are just more rounded and cheaper also which is a win. But competition is good for everyone so it’s all good and really close between all 3 companies
Simagic has 360 hz FFB on Iracing too so that's amazing 🤩
@@asSIMuNation That is because Iracing the game itself suck balls :) ancient old game.
I've had mine for a few months now. Not a single complaint. It has all been working great ❤
Good to hear!
Hi, do you have any idea why the max torc for iracing is 15Nm in the asetek doc? Allways understood to use max in device settings and dial down in game?
There is just something about the whole Asetek range that i really like. If i won the lotto tomorrow i would absolutely choose them.
Yea I know what you mean its a very well thought out ecosystem.
No need for lotto, there is the La Prima. Still expansive but only a bit more expensive than Simagic
do you know something about the new Simucube 3 ???? i am between asetek and the simucube ultimate and there is a big sale now!! But i am in love with the simucube ultimate!! i only dont want to give that money and then sortly i will have an old model!
I have no information; I am just speculating that we might see something by the end of the year or next. I hear you; it's a tough choice when spending this kind of money.
SImucube said on their forums there will be no SC3 for now, they improve soft and firmware.
